Principal Instructors:

Colin Dumais, Director
Canadian National Radon Training Centre

Colin combines a passion for teaching with a solid background in building science and energy efficient technologies and practices to design and build radon mitigation systems that are both efficient and effective. Colin is a board member for the Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists and is on the curriculum development team for the Canadian National Radon Proficiency program.

Doug Kladder, Director
Center for Environmental Research and Technology

Doug has been involved with the development and implementation of radon technologies from both a scientific and practical standpoint since the mid-1980s. This experience has come from encountering challenges throughout North America, as well the Pacific Rim, Asia, and Europe that has led him to be able to say with confidence that "all homes can be fixed." He enjoys passing along that confidence to students that he has been teaching and advising since the early 1990s.

He is also the principal author of the book "Protecting Your Home from Radon in Canada".

Renata MacQueen, Director
Canadian National Radon Training Centre

Renata MacQueen became a certified mitigator shortly after finding radon levels in her house that were 12 times higher than Health Canada's action level. Since then she has been building radon mitigation systems that are unobtrusive and quiet while maintaining the effectiveness that customers expect.

Karin Dumais, President
Canadian National Radon Training Centre

Karin Dumais developed her business management skills while working as a business analyst for an international oil and gas firm - then as an independent business process re-engineering consultant where she helped companies develop the skills and tools sets to take their business to the next level.
